Baby Room

In our Baby Room we pride ourselves on it's homely feel with neutral colours and natural, open-ended resources

Our baby room offers completely natural play and real-life experiences. You will not find one plastic toy in the room. We have a large range of natural resources for the babies to explore, post or to wear alongside the open-ended resources we have the kind of wooden toys you would expect to find in the nursery; cars, balls, puzzles etc. However, we also use Treasure baskets and Heuristic play and often find the babies are more interested in a box than a toy.

All our staff who work with children under the age of 2 have completed Five to Thrive training to ensure the best emotional support and brain development is encouraged and supported.

Our baby Lead Educator has also completed Brazelton Touchpoints Training. Touch points are moments in a child’s development when it is an optimal time to provide support for parents. Understanding development deepens the relationship between parents and practitioners, fostering children’s (0-6 years old) full developmental potential.

The baby room has clear areas for development and the children can move freely to these, we also have a baby garden which is open whenever a baby wishes to play outside.
