Our Toddler Room boasts the same familiar, homely feeling as the rest of the nursery. With authentic resources which allow the children real-life experiences.

As throughout the nursery we operate free-access, meaning the children can choose their learning environment. We follow the child’s own interest, using it to help us expand on their development. We are following, the EYFS however we only focus on the prime area (Personal Social and Emotional, Physical development & Communication & Lanagues) until they are near the age of 3 or secure in their age and stage of development.

At this age children need routine and boundaries as they are developing at a fast rate and need to feel secure more so than ever. Our staff are trained in Five to Thrive, which is all around the importance of emotional development.

Toddlers also enjoy being little adults, so role play is very important to them at this age. Home corners, with real objects such as keys, aprons & even uniforms (adult size) are favourites.
