Pre-School Room

Joining the Pre-School is an important milestone for our 3 to 5 year olds.

Our Pre-Schoolers are based upstairs where the emphasis is on preparing them for school while still embedding our child-led ethos.

We support the Pre-School’s learning through using real life experiences, such as going to the library to return books, buying fruit & vegetables or just jumping on a bus and heading into town. Alongside this we are following the children’s own interests and extending it as much as we can to help develop the child/ren, for example a child had a real passion for Dinosaurs, whilst another child was keen to see where the Queen lived, so we arranged a trip to London, to see Buckingham palace and the Natural History Museum.

Alongside this we work with the children to develop or enhance them;

- Knowledge and appreciation of nature

In line with the Early Years Foundation Stage we keep a record of your children’s journey and progress throughout their time in nursery. We use an online learning journal (a system called Famly), which you can log into from home, office or at Grandparents. You can download app from the play store or from apple store allowing you the ability to access Famly via your phone. 

Every time we make an entry into your child’s learning journal or wish to share with parents what we have been doing during the day you will receive an email enabling you to access it immediately.
